Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Authonex services. By using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.
01Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Authonex services, including our website, APIs, SDKs, and dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. We may modify these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
02Description of Service
Authonex provides a programmable trust infrastructure platform that enables users to issue, verify, and revoke cryptographically-signed identities, manage API keys, generate QR codes, and perform identity verification. Our services include REST APIs, SDKs, a web dashboard, and public resolver endpoints.
03Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys. All activities that occur under your account are your responsibility. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
04Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the service to store or transmit illegal content; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data; (c) interfere with or disrupt the service; (d) use the service to conduct fraudulent activities; (e) reverse engineer our proprietary algorithms; (f) exceed rate limits or abuse the API; (g) use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
05API Usage and Rate Limits
API usage is subject to rate limits based on your plan tier. Free tier: 1,000 requests/month. Pro tier: 100,000 requests/month. Enterprise: custom limits. Exceeding rate limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension. Abuse of the API may result in permanent termination. We reserve the right to modify rate limits with notice.
06Intellectual Property
Authonex and its licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the service, including all intellectual property rights. You retain ownership of the data you submit to our platform. You grant us a license to use, store, and process your data solely to provide the service to you. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.
07Service Level Agreement
We commit to 99.9% uptime for all paid plans. Downtime due to scheduled maintenance (with 48-hour notice) is excluded. If uptime falls below 99.9% in any calendar month, you are eligible for service credits: 99.0-99.9% = 10% credit, 95.0-99.0% = 25% credit, below 95% = 50% credit. Credits must be requested within 30 days.
08Payment and Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. You are responsible for all taxes associated with your use of the service. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance of new pricing.
09Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Authonex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow export, after which it will be permanently deleted. Sections on intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.
11Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or class action. Claims must be filed within one year of the incident.
